In half of the pitch make three squares (A, B and C) of 20x20 meters using markers and place them as it is shown in the picture. Close to each square place 5 balls in line. Divide the team into 2 groups of 5 players. The two teams go inside the same square ready to start. Give a ball to one of the two teams. The goalkeeper defends the goal.
- To the coach's signal the team that has the ball starts a ball possession inside the square. A 5vs5 is set
- The team that possesses the ball can touch it a maximum of 2 times
- The objective of the team that has the ball is to execute 5 consecutive passes without having the rival intercept the ball. After accomplishing their goal the 5 players go to the 5 balls that are close to the square and they shoot at goal in a certain way:
- Once the goal is accomplished in square A, players shoot at goal one after the other from a sttoped ball
- Once the goal is accomplished in square B, players one after the other dribbling to the limit of the area and then shoot at goal (See picture)
- Once the goal is accomplished in square C players one after the other perform a self pass forwards and then shoot at goal
- The rival team runs towards the inside of the other square and awaits for the other team to be done with shooting to then start the exercise
- When the exercise starts again after shooting, the possession continues for the team that has just ended the action
- 2 touches during ball possession
- 5 consecutive passes are worth 1 point
- Create possession triangles, they are useful to avoid opponents
- Work on the reaction to the negative transition, once the player loses the ball, the closest player to the ball, presses the opponent while their teammates get closer
- Work on the distances between players
- Work on orientation of the body during the reception, it should always be facing the widest part of the pitch
- Minimum ideal unity: The player that has the ball must always have available a minimum number of players that can guarantee him a pass at any time
- The player must pay attention to the support foot when shooting
- The foot must impact the center of the ball with the instep
- The player must keep looking the ball
- Open arms allows the player to gain stability
- The limitation of touches depends on the age and capacities of players
